What we collect
When you visit ApartmentRehabLoan we record standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, time of request). When you subscribe we additionally store the email address you give us, your subscription tier, and your billing relationship via our payment processor. When you submit an LOI through /submit-loi, we store the loan-term fields you typed; we publish them anonymized and aggregated.
We use cookies to (1) keep you signed in if you are a subscriber and (2) measure aggregate traffic. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
What we don't collect
We do not buy reader data from data brokers, we do not enrich your email or LOI submission against external profile databases, and we do not sell or rent reader or operator data to anyone for any purpose. In particular, we never share an LOI submission's identifying details with the lender named in that LOI.
Operator LOI submissions
If you submit an LOI, we store both the redacted "publishable" version (sponsor name removed, property address generalized to MSA, exact loan-amount bands instead of dollar-precise figures) and the unredacted original. We use the unredacted version only for verification and internal cross-checking. We never publish or share the unredacted original.
Who we share it with
- Our payment processor (Stripe), only what is needed to bill you.
- Our email-sending vendor, only the address and the message we are sending.
- Our hosting and analytics providers, only what they need to keep the site running.
- Law-enforcement when properly compelled. We will tell you when we are legally allowed to.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the information we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us through /contact and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in a jurisdiction (EU, UK, California, etc.) that grants additional statutory rights, we will honor them.
AI and automated processing
Our editorial system uses AI to research, synthesize, and draft articles. Reader-facing personal data (your email, your LOI submission, your form submissions) is never fed into the editorial AI pipeline. The boundary is enforced at the data-store level — subscriber and LOI records live in separate databases with no shared service account.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be emailed to active subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect.
